This unfortunate disaster is the result of a contractor hitting a sprinkler head while working in a high-rise hotel. As you can see in the before picture, all the carpeting in the area was affected by extreme water damage and had to be ripped up and removed. Luckily, the owner of the hotel was looking for a nice hardwood change anyways!
